Build Weekend
A two-day build event in Utah for founders, engineers, and marketers who want to ship something real with agents in the loop. Applications are open.
We are hosting Build Weekend, a two-day event in Utah for founders, engineers, and marketers who want to ship something real using the tools and cadence we use every day. It is not a hackathon in the pizza-and-prizes sense. It is a compressed sprint, with our team and our agents available to every table.
Applications are open now. The event is small on purpose.
The format
Teams arrive with an idea and leave with something running. Saturday is scoping and building. Sunday is building and shipping. Sunday evening is demos.
- Saturday morning. Every team writes a one-page sprint brief with our help: the problem, the definition of done, and the number.
- Saturday afternoon and evening. Build. Each team gets an environment in The Forge with the agent roster, a design system, and deployment wired up.
- Sunday. Ship. Hardening, a landing page, analytics, and for teams that want it, the first ad campaign.
- Sunday evening. Demos. Five minutes each, working software only, in front of everyone.
Tracks
- Build. Ship a product or a feature. Web, mobile, or internal tool.
- Automate. Deploy an agent against a real operation with a boundary and an eval set.
- Create and Grow. Build a brand system and a launch campaign for something that exists, and turn it on before demos.
- Launch. Take an idea from thesis to a landing page, a pricing page, and the first ten conversations.
Who should apply
Small teams of one to four with a specific thing they want to ship. You do not need to be an engineer; the tracks are designed so that a founder and a marketer can build something real. You do need a problem that fits in two days, and you need to be there for both of them.
We are particularly interested in teams working on ventures they might want to pitch to Vinyatan, and in operators inside existing companies who want to prototype an agent before making the case internally.
What it costs
Nothing. We are covering the space, the compute, and the food. We ask two things: that you ship, and that you let us write about what you shipped.
Why we are doing it
Because the best way to show how we work is to work next to people for two days. Because some of the teams in the room will become partners or ventures, and we would rather meet them building than on a call. And because we learn something every time we watch someone new use The Forge.
