What you get

Build Weekend is a compressed version of how we work. Teams of one to four arrive with a problem on Saturday morning and leave with something running on Sunday evening. Each team gets an environment in The Forge, with the agent roster, a design system, and deployment already wired up. Our engineers, designers, and growth leads sit at the tables. Lunch and dinner come to you.

It is not a hackathon in the pizza-and-prizes sense. There is no theme and no panel of judges. There is a definition of done that you write with us on Saturday morning, and there is a demo on Sunday afternoon in front of the room and the stream. Working software only. No slides.

Attendance is free. We cover the space, the compute, and the food. We ask two things in return: that you ship, and that you let us write about what you shipped. Some teams leave as partners or ventures. Most leave with a product that did not exist on Friday.

Build

Ship a product or a feature. Web, mobile, or an internal tool, deployed and measured by Sunday.

Automate

Deploy an agent against a real operation, with a clear boundary and an eval set that proves it works.

Create and Grow

Build a brand system and a launch campaign for something that exists, and turn it on before demos.

Launch

Take an idea from thesis to a landing page, a pricing page, and the first ten real conversations.

Schedule

Saturday, August 15Utah
  • Sat 9:00 AMDoors and briefs

Coffee, check-in, and a one-page sprint brief written with our team: the problem, the definition of done, and the number you want to move.

  • Sat 10:00 AMThe Forge walkthrough

Every team gets an environment with the agent roster, a design system, and a deploy pipeline. Thirty minutes, then you are building.

  • Sat 10:30 AMBuild

Heads down. Agents on every branch, our engineers on the floor for unblocking, and lunch at the tables so nobody loses an hour.

  • Sat 6:00 PMCheckpoint

Two minutes per team: what runs, what is blocked. We re-scope on the spot where a plan is too big for the time left. Dinner follows.

  • Sun 9:00 AMShip

Hardening, a landing page, analytics, and for teams on the Create and Grow track, the first campaign turned on before demos.

  • Sun 2:00 PMFreeze

Code freeze and a demo rehearsal with the team. Every demo runs on a public URL, not a laptop, so what the room sees is what shipped.

  • Sun 4:00 PMDemos

Five minutes per team in front of everyone, streamed live on X. Working software only. Questions from the room and the stream.

  • Sun 6:00 PMClose

Who is continuing, who wants to pitch Vinyatan, and what we will write about. The space stays open for anyone who wants to keep going.

FAQ

Questions

What is the maximum team size?

Four. Solo builders are welcome, and we will pair you if you want a teammate. Anything larger than four tends to spend the weekend coordinating instead of shipping, which is the opposite of the point.

Who can attend?

Founders, engineers, marketers, designers, and operators with a specific thing they want to ship. You do not need to write code. The tracks are designed so that a founder and a marketer can build something real together. You do need to be there for both days.

Do I need a team before applying?

No. Apply on your own and tell us what you want to build. We match solo applicants into teams by track and skill before the weekend, and you can also form a team on Saturday morning during briefs.

What should I bring?

A laptop, your accounts for anything you want to connect, and a problem that fits in two days. We provide the environment, the agents, the compute, and the food. If your idea depends on data you own, bring a copy you are allowed to use.

Who owns what we build?

You do. The code, the brand, and the campaign belong to your team. We keep the right to write about the weekend and to show your demo on our channels. If you want to continue with us afterwards, that is a separate conversation with its own terms.
